Dr. Tapas R. Dash is a research advisor and professor of economics at CamEd Business School in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. As an accomplished academic and seasoned development practitioner, he has successfully led over 50 research and development consulting projects focused on socioeconomic issues, funded by both international and national organizations, including the Royal Government of Cambodia, bridging the gap between academic research and practical policy implementation. Prof. Dash is the recipient of the 2025 ACBSP (USA) Teaching Excellence Award (Region 10). He has supervised over a dozen scholars in their doctoral degrees and examined dissertations at the doctoral and post-doctoral levels. Some of his edited books are Economy, Society, and Education: Learning from the COVID-19 Crisis (Allied Publishers, 2025), Cooperatives in the Global Economy (Lexington Books – an imprint of The Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group, Inc., USA, 2021), and COVID-19: The Economy and Society (Allied Publishers, 2021). Prof. Dash is the chief editor of CamEd Business School’s biannually published journal, the Journal of Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Social Sciences (JAFESS). He participated in and presented papers at international conferences and seminars in the USA, France, South Korea, Singapore, India, Taiwan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Mongolia, Timor-Leste and Cambodia. He played an important role as a member of the National Committee on Doctoral Degree Program, MoEYS, Royal Government of Cambodia, and as an ACC Assessor, contributing to the development and assessment of academic degree programs in Cambodia.
