Profile

Alexander Franco, B.A., MS, Ph.D., is from the United States and has been a teacher for twenty-three years, having taught in the U.S., Mexico, Thailand, Iraq, and the Philippines. He grew up in New York City where he graduated from Columbia University with honors. Dr. Franco is a former Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and began a career as an external auditor working for the NYC office of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He later became an international auditor, conducting financial and operational audits on six continents in three languages. Dr. Franco’s research specialization is cross-cultural considerations in business and he has written over 80 publications including scholarly articles, books, book chapters, and book reviews, published in nine languages. Recent work in the area of humanoid robots was published in the ASEAN Journal of Management and Innovation, Thammasat University’s Thammasat Review (Scopus), and Chulalongkorn University’s Southeast Asian Journal of Economics (Scopus). Dr. Franco sits on over a dozen editorial and peer review boards for scholarly journals around the world. A world traveler, he has visited seventy-three countries and has taught or been a guest lecturer in seven.
