Profile

Dr Phoeun Bunna is a distinguished clinical psychologist and educator with a rich background in teaching, research, and clinical work. Currently, he is serving as a lecturer in team psychology at CamEd Business School. He holds a Ph.D. in Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology and completed B.A. and M.A. in Psychology. With over 14 years of teaching experience across public and private universities, Dr. Phoeun has mentored numerous graduate students in research methodologies and professional development. He specializes in school-based mental health interventions, which were the central focus of his Ph.D. dissertation.

Dr Phoeun also specializes in trauma treatment, using EMDR therapy. He is a certified EMDR supervisor and is actively training to become an EMDR trainer. With over 15 years of clinical experience, he has supported hundreds of individuals with mental health concerns, including students. He has also provided clinical supervision, training, and workshops in mental health to numerous institutions, both private companies and non-government organisations.

In addition to his teaching and clinical work, Dr Phoeun’s consultancy spans local and international organisations where he contributes to strengthening mental health systems through innovative programmes. An active researcher, he has authored numerous scholarly publications and co-leads school-based mental health intervention studies with global partners to enhance youth well-being worldwide.

He is passionate about teaching and research—especially clinical work—and finds counselling to be his favourite area of practice. Guided by the belief that “everyone has unique talents, and counseling serves as a pathway to unlock those strengths.” Dr. Phoeun is dedicated to empowering individuals through evidence-based practices and compassionate care.
