CamEd Chinese Club

Established on March 18, 2025, the CamEd Chinese Club (CCHC) was founded with the purpose of fostering cultural exchange, and strengthening relationships between Chinese-speaking and non-Chinese-speaking communities.

Vision

Our aim is to bridge individuals with valuable job prospects, enhance intercultural understanding by organizing impactful Chinese cultural events, and build a vibrant network of relationships among both Chinese-speaking and non-Chinese-speaking communities.

Mission

  • To organize and manage Chinese events according to Chinese holidays/celebrations 
  • To enhance career opportunities for CamEd students by connecting with Chinese companies
  • To provide opportunities for students and individuals to visit and interact with business firm through study tour 
  • To build friendships and professional connections with people both fluent in Chinese and those who are not.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

Our executive committee is made up of eight members including two Co-Presidents who lead the club as a whole, and six Vice Presidents who are each responsible for one of the departments, which includes:

EVENTS

1st Generation Induction Day

On May 30, 2025, CamEd Chinese Club held our Induction Day, a welcoming event designed to officially introduce and onboard our newly selected 1st Generation members. 

This event marked the beginning of our journey with the club, setting the foundation for collaboration, growth, and active participation.

Internal Study Tour 2025: “Enter The Bank, Work Towards The Future”

On July 25, 2025, CamEd Chinese Club organized an educational internal study tour to the Bank of China (BOC), Phnom Penh branch, offering our club members valuable real-world exposure to banking operations. 

The visit featured a guided office tour, an overview presentation on BOC’s services and organizational structure, and an interactive Q&A session with the bank’s staff.

Charity Event: Together for Tomorrow

On August 30, 2025, the CamEd Chinese Club organized “Together for Tomorrow”, a charitable initiative supporting the Indochina Starfish Foundation (ISF Cambodia), a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged children through education, healthcare, sports, and community programs.

The program featured an organization tour, interactive games, talent performances, and resource handover, allowing participants to gain meaningful insight into the foundation’s work and its impact on the community.

Mid-Autumn 2025: “Lantern Light – 星灯映月”

On October 4, 2025, CamEd Chinese Club celebrated a Mid-Autumn event, “Lantern Light,” to gather everyone in honor of one of the most cherished Chinese festivals. 

Everyone brought home a lantern after the celebration, as a beautiful reminder of the laughter, lights, and camaraderie under the moonlight.

External Study Tour 2025: “External Study Tour to Aoer Lubricating Oil Technology Co., Ltd”

On November 24, 2025, CamEd students and club members participated in an enlightening external study tour to Aoer Lubricating Oil Technology Co., Ltd (奥尔润滑油科技有限公司), an event organized by the CamEd Chinese Club. 

The program featured a guided company tour, an overview of the company’s background, organizational structure, and business processes, and concluded with an interactive Q&A session with the staff. The visit aimed to provide participants practical insights into Cambodia’s lubricating oil industry and real-world business operations.

MEMBERSHIP

At CamEd Chinese Club, membership is open to all CamEd students who wish to discover Chinese culture, grow their skills, and explore new opportunities. 

Each Member should: 

  • Abide by the Club’s rules and uphold the standards outlined in CamEd’s Code of Conduct.
  • Contribute positively and collaboratively to Club events and initiatives.
  • Treat all fellow members and cultures with dignity and respect.
  • Refrain from bullying, discrimination, or any form of harassment, which will not be tolerated.
  • Inform your assigned Vice President (VP) in advance if you are unable to attend any Club events or meetings. Failure to notify in advance will be considered an “Absence without reason provided”.
