CamEd Fencing Club is student sports club of CamEd Business School founded by Dr. Maria Isabelita Manzon Cabrera, who is also the club advisor. The club was established with a purpose of promoting fencing to CamEd students and Cambodians.

To develop leadership skills, team spirit, and social skills while increasing confidence, mental alertness, and self-esteem through participation in fencing competitions among CamEd students and beyond.
Club Mission
To train, learn, and promote fencing to CamEd students. Supporting them in becoming a stronger version of themselves, both physically and mentally, through the art of fencing, when they take the necessary break from their studies.
What is Fencing?
Fencing is an organized combat sport involving the use of a sword for attack and defense according to set movements and rules. The sport involves two fencers using their sword with techniques (attacks, parries, riposetes, etc.) to score points against their opponent. There are three disciplines of fencing – Foil, Epee, and Sabre.

Fencing Competition
Annually, multiple fencing tournaments such as the National Championship and Western Cup will be organized by the Fencing Federation of Cambodia (FFC) and their partners. Our fencers will be there to gain real fencing experience on the piste in front of the audience.

University Game: every 2 years (CFC at University Game 2024)
National Game: every 2 years (CFC at National Game 2024)

In addition to weekly training and joining fencing competitions. We also participate in other social events. So far, we have joined the following events:
World Fencing Day 2024
Date: September 14th
Type of event: Global celebration organized annually by the International Fencing Federation (FIE)
Activity: Filmed a video to celebrate the sport of fencing and sent it to FIE.
Earth Warriors Day 2024
Date: September 28th
Type of event: An environmental-oriented social event, organized by Infinity Sport and partners. While also supported by the Department of Environment of Kandal, Department of Tourism, the Ponhea Lueu District Office. (For more details => Earth WR)
Activity: Participated in helping clean up Oudong Pagoda and the foothill vicinity.

TAFISA World Walking Day
Date: October 6th
Type of event: A global event, established by TAFISA to promote physical activities and their benefits.

Activity: To commemorate World Walking Day 2024, we symbolically passed the baton using fencing techniques, including the one-step, lunge, and fleche.
2 Gold, 5 Bronze, and 1 Silver medal won.
Western Cup (2025)
Won 2 bronze medals and 1 silver medal

Our club is eligible for all CamEd students to join. Whether you are a current student at CamEd or graduated alumni, you can apply to join our club when the club recruitments are open.
Recruitment
The recruitment for new members is an annual event held during the CamEd Student Club Promotional Day. Specific requirements and available positions will be announced through our social media pages.
