About CIC

CamEd Investment Club has been essential for developing the key skills and the mindset of an investor among CamEd students, emphasizing the significance of investing, and establishing a network of potential investors for CamEd students. CIC works to develop students’ knowledge in finance and increase their capability and ability to make investment decisions. This will empower us to be successful investors.

This year, like last year, CIC has actively supported the Cambodia Community of Investment Professionals organizing the CFA Institute research challenge in Cambodia.

Vision

To spread investment knowledge to youths in Cambodia, in the hopes of that knowledge adding value to their decisions in life, whether for financial purposes or personal growth.

Mission

To encourage youths to take the lead in opportunities and grasp experiences in learning valuable skills, particularly teamwork, communication, leadership, and analytical skills. On par with learning how to operate in suitable work situations. We also strive to provide knowledge on investment along the road.

Start Smart

Hosted by CamEd Investment Club, had the opportunity to invite Mr. Liv Chhoung (Co-Founder of Brown Coffee and Bakery), Mr. Kiet Sovannprina (Founder of KDMV Digital), and Mr. Un Measdara (Founder of Sil Digital Marketing) to share their expertise. This talk show aims to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the key strategies needed to turn innovative ideas into thriving businesses. The session will cover practical insights on how to start, develop, and maintain a strong brand, while also addressing common challenges faced along the way. Whether our audiences are just beginning or looking to scale their venture, this event will offer valuable guidance for achieving long-term success in today’s competitive landscape.

From Zero to Investor

This event features Mr. Din Pichar from the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) along with Mr. Var Vannareach and Mr. Vanneth Visay from the BHub team. Together, they will guide participants through the fundamentals of investing; covering the basics of stocks and bonds, and how to open a brokerage account in Cambodia. The speakers will also share strategies for managing risks and avoiding common beginner mistakes. To put learning into action, the session concludes with an exciting mock investment game, where students and new investors can test their knowledge, sharpen decision-making skills, and experience the thrill of trading in a risk-free setting.

Road to Victory Charity

This charity event was initiated in response to the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict. As concerned citizens, we are committed to supporting those affected. As students, we aim to make a meaningful impact by coming together to raise donations, both within our school and, if possible, beyond. Through unity and solidarity, we strive to help in any way we can.

Hanuman Beverages Site Visit

CamEd Investment Club conducted field studies at Human Beverages on 23rd June 2023 to understand more about the process of high-quality brewery production process using cutting-edge technologies.

CSX Study Tour

CamEd Investment Club had a wonderful opportunity to visit CSX: Cambodia Securities Exchange on 1st September 2023. We learned a lot about the history, functions, and operations of the stock market in Cambodia. We also had a chance to observe the trading floor and interact with some of the staff members. We would like to thank Mr. Chin Sangfong, Manager of Market Development and Investor Relations, for his informative presentation and kind assistance during the study tour.
